Further explanation apparently is needed on why we need to do subscription model. It will be pretty simple and quick explanation.
Since we started information Station we have provided and done free posts about major emergency incidents that may effect and impact travel. We love doing it but we have been doing this for free and although it is online, there are still hard costs involved.
The Online Scanner Feed is ours, still free to listen to today as we can not control that other then stop providing the feed altogether. But it cost us a yearly subscription to Radio Reference, It is powered by a very expensive radio and antenna setup and is connected to Broadcastify and Radio Reference by a dedicated computer system.
The website has per month cost as well as the domain and many of the scripts that make it a website either have upfront costs or yearly subscriptions. Then there is bank fees, filing fees and several other fees that are associated with any business online or brick and mortar stores.
We understand it is frustrating but unfortunately to be able to continue to do what we do the costs associated with doing it have to be covered. It is a simple fact of life and doing business.
