5:15pm – Yachats Fire is onscene of a crash at the 2000 block Highway 101 North.
5:17pm – Yachats has a medical call and possibly is involved in the crash. Yachats Fire is requesting 3 medic units from Pacific West Ambulance. 2 for the crash scene and one for their medical call.
5:25pm – Central Coast Fire is onscene. Requesting status of Life Flight. Diverting one medic to a medical call in Central Coast district.
5:31pm – Life Flight is checking for status. This is a confirmed fatality accident. Highway will be closed.
5:34pm – one patient extricated.
5:56pm – Landing Zone is setup at Adobe and patient is being transported there. Life Flight is almost to the landing zone.
6:25pm – One patient loaded on Life Flight and they are enroute to the valley.
8:53pm – Highway is still closed. Some fire units have cleared the scene. Oregon State Police Crash Reconstruction team is on scene. It could be several more hours before the highway is cleared. We will do another update when we know.
9:08pm – All fire units cleared the scene. Lincoln County Sheriff and Oregon State Police still onscene and will have the highway closed for sometime.
10:30pm – Road has been reopened .
